The process of reversing domestication; the return of humans, animals and ecosystems to more natural and wild states.
The early human rewilding movement was born from the heart-felt wild yearnings of individuals who emerged from anarcho-primitivist, green anarchist and anti-civilization schools of thought. Sometime in the early-2000's, the term was co-opted, and much of the movement was copyrighted and commercialized. People were sold the promise of a "rewilded" enlightenment achievable through the completion of n-step programs and online "university" courses (for a fee, of course). However, some have stayed true to the spirit of the original movement. The following is a list of groups and articles by individuals that appear to remain dedicated to the original core values of both human and ecological rewilding.
